Virgin Galactic Is Bringing Back Spaceflights, And The Stock Could Skyrocket

Virgin Galactic was founded in 2004 by Richard Branson. It is a company that specializes in space flights, and was the first space tourism company to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. It takes people on journeys around space aboard its space ships. They first started selling tickets for $450,000 in 2022, and then it increased to $600,000 in 2025. Flights were eventually stopped in 2024 to focus on a new spaceship called the Delta-class spacecraft, which aims to offer frequent flights efficiently.
On March 30, 2026, Virgin Galactic announced the price of tickets to be $750,000 per person, and that flights would begin again in late 2026 or early 2027. In 2021, the company reached an all-time high of around 1,200 USD per share. Due to challenges, the price crashed so badly that today it trades for approximately 2.5 USD per share.
Since its founding in 2004, Virgin Galactic has faced numerous challenges, but has remained in business, even though it has been operating at a loss for many years. Today, the company keeps working to achieve its mission of taking people on journeys around space, and it looks poised to be a big player in the space industry in the future.

On April 1, 2026, NASA launched Artemis II, the first crewed mission to the moon in over 50 years. This brings more attention to the space industry, plus Virgin Galactic plans to begin spaceflights in late 2026, further positioning the company for a historic rally.
At the current price of approximately $2.5, if you buy 20 shares, the total cost will be $50. If the stock rises to its previous all-time high, that $50 in investment will be worth $24,000. If it only gets to $900 per share, the investment will be worth around $18,000. This shows how massive the potential return could be on even a small investment. Imagine how much returns a $100, $1000, $10,000, or $100 million investment could bring. In the future, Virgin Galactic might get a breakthrough, and a near insignificant investment could bring in life-changing returns.

Before investing, however, consider the risk versus reward ratio and decide if you can handle it and how much you are willing to risk. This is a long-term investment that should be given at least 10 years, more if necessary. So it is important to invest an amount that can be easily dismissed or left for decades if necessary, without drastic effects on short-term finances. This is a lifetime risk, and one that can be abandoned for many years, and even transferred to others, including offspring, in case the breakthrough comes in another generation after the original investor may be no more. That is, of course, if the company continues to exist.
